Does the TJA1051 CAN transceiver utilize a random backoff before transmitting?  I realize that CAN ID bus arbitration is used for collision avoidance when two CAN modules are transmitting at the same time using different CAN IDs, but the random backoff could be useful for collision avoidance if two CAN modules are trying to transmit at the same time using the same CAN ID (which is not good design but...).
