We have to design a new device, we thought-out to base this new desing in to MCF52233CAL60 ColdFire® V2 Ethernet Microcontroller, this microcontroller is as "Active". Do you know if it is going to continue active for a long time?

Or however, you know if this chip is going to change to the status to "not recommended for new designs" soon, if it is so, then we would have to change our mind about our new design and search another microcontroller.

Best regards,

Fran

Hello,

For the general product longevity information, we recommend customer have a look at: Product Longevity|NXP

Please understand that Product Longevity describes the minimum amount of time a product will be available.  Product Longevity does not say when a product will be end of lifed.  If a product is still active after its Product Longevity period is completed, the decision to EOL the product will be market-driven.  If market demand is high, NXP can and does keep a product active for years after the end of the product’s Product Longevity period.

So at present, we do not have any "change status" information for this part and we do not give any prediction that when the part will "decline".
