Hi,

I confuse about CFG3 pin definition of PTN3356.

I think that it's configuration pin for DP alternate mode enable/disable.

But it looks like configuring normal DP mode enable/disable too.

When it's configured low, I cannot use PTN3356 both normal and alternate DP mode?

Is it same configuration the pin value OPEN and HIGH?

Is it reason that CFG3 has internal pull-up?

Hi,

Please note that CFG3 pin is only used in USB type-C DP Alt mode.It can be left open in normal DP operation.

Hi,

Thank you for your answer.

In table3, CFG3 is used for "DP Alternate Mode for USB Type-C Enable".

But PTN3356 doesn't operate both normal and alternate DP mode when configured low. It looks like DP input disable.

Could you tell me how to use CFG3 and an use of this mode?

Best regards,
