4-bit ECC on LPC3250

Is there a 4-bit ECC implementation for LPC3250?

I am working with a new NAND flash with the NXP LPC3250. Previously a 1-bit ECC NAND was used and we moved to a 4-bit ECC NAND. It does not look like my U-Boot source supports 4-bit ECC. Does NXP have an implementation or example of U-Boot with 4-bit ECC support?

Hello speterson jorge_plascencia  jamesbone:

I have the same question, and am wondering what alternate approach was taken in Serah's case.

We have a need to implement 4-bit hardware ECC on a large block SLC NAND Flash because we are having issue with our software ECC. If 4-bit ECC is not available, why does the UM10326 LPC32x0 manual indicate that the MLC controller can support 4-bit ECC?  We are trying to switch from the SLC to MLC controller for normal operations for this 4-bit ECC feature.  Are there any resources/code examples you can point me towards?

Hello Serah,

Unfortunately No,  we do not have such solution for the LPC3250 since the device it is Legacy so the implementation for NAND flash with 4 bit ECC it is not available.

I apologize for this inconvenience.
