100MHz SCT?

In the LPC15xx datasheet it says that the maximum CPU Frequency is 72MHz, and also that the maximum output frequency of the PLL is 100MHz.

Does that mean that I can run the SCT block at 100MHz?

Hi Ian,

Yes, from the datasheet, we can know the PLL clock output frequency can up to 100Mhz, but in the SCT module, the SCT PLL don't up that 72Mhz.

Because, the SCT register still clocked by the system clock, it is 72Mhz.

So, please configure the SCT PLL up to 72Mhz, the SCT PLL normally can input to the input.

We have an example to use the SCT PLL 72Mhz, then input it in the IN7, you can refer to that usage:

  AN11538.pdf page 12.

Wish it helps you!

Have a great day,
Kerry
