The i.MX7Solo datasheet says the DDR interface density is 256MB to 2GB (9.1.2 table 9-1). Does that actually mean that using 512Mbit or 1Gbit DDR3 chips is out of the question?

Hello,

   i.MX7 DDRC supports devices with column size of 8-12 bits and row size of 11-16 bits;

data port size 16/32-bit; up to two CSs. Total memory size is restricted by 2048 MBytes (look at system

memory map).

Have a great day,
Yuri

Hei,

I was asking about minimum memory size. Are we fine with 512Mbit (32MBx16) part that's organized 12bit Row, 10bit Column? Apparently yes, but the datasheet claims 256MB is the minimum RAM size?
