The reference manual mention as below spec. 

Could you tell me the direction control via CTS_B pin is hardware auto switch or software handle switch?

seems it is hardware as descrbed in sect.53.7.1 Generalities, Figure 53-12. RS-485 driver connection

i.MX6ULL Reference Manual :

The CTS_B pin can be used to control RS-485 output driver outside the chip.

Yes, Felix. Through software control.

We are using RS-485 driver direction control via gpio on MYIR MYS-6ULX board.

Through CTS_B might be also possible. 

But for any ways, you need to configure dts.

So direction control is software control, right?

it is not hardware will auto detect switch timing.
