When implementing... log file contain one invalid message. which is shown below.

9:57:50 (vsflex) Invalid license key (inconsistent authentication code)

9:57:50 (vsflex) ==>FEATURE vsvlx vsflex 10.00 permanent 10 VENDOR_STRING=FVLX81 [...]

This is floating license. The license seems like working quite ok. Just have the above invalid message. What is it all about?

Well, I doubt that "vsvlx" feature was original part of the CodeWarrior license. According to the error message  the feature requires different daemon named "vsflex" to run. CodeWarrior uses daemon "metrowks".
It seems that this feature was added to license.dat file afterwards.
Since this feature is not correctly accepted by the licensing server you can comment it out and it shouldn't have any influence to CodeWarrior.

Anyway, I'd suggest you to find out which product is this feature related to and then configure licensing server according to the instructions of appropriate vendor of this product.

This is the license file for Coldefire V7.0

For what i notice in the same license file, it consist one

INCREMENT Win32_CWIDE_Limited metrowks 5.500

and another similar string as below:

INCREMENT Win32_CWIDE_Unlimited metrowks 5.500

I wonder the error might occur due to this 2 similar string in the same license file.

Once again thank you very much.

But now I've encounter another error when replacing the old license file with the new license file(not consider for re-host yet). What could be possible to cause this problem?

It shows:

Project Error 202049. This IDE is not licensed for full fuctionality, so there is a limit of 32 files per target. To obtain a full license please e-mail xxx..............

Hello,

The Special Edition licenses (and some BASIC suite licenses) include feature limited CodeWarrior IDE so it's not possible to have more than 32 files per project. Seems your project reaches this limit so the licensing error appears.
Could you check what kind of license are you using?

Now I have the same license file need to be rehost on to a new license server. Is it important to know the host machine OS? For example I just know the server is running Windows OS but don't know whether it is windows 2003 or XP or 98, will it affect the migration on that? What issues actually related in this migration of license into a new server?

Actually rehosting process is pretty straightforward. At the end it generates just a new license file locked to a new lock ID that you will enter during rehosting (MAC address, Disc Volume ID, USB dongle FlexID). The new lock ID should correspond with a new machine you'd like to rehost the license to.

The OS used has no influence to the content of the license file. Anyway, OS should be able to run FlexLM license manager and required license daemons. There is a list of supported OSes:

http://www.freescale.com/webapp/sps/site/overview.jsp?nodeId=0127262444119D11A0

Non-supported OS might work as well but it's not guaranteed.

Thanks for your kind reply to my doubt.
The codewarrior product I'm using is Codewarrior Coldfire. If we comment the vsflex out, what will be the consequences?

Hi,

Which CodeWarrior product are you using? Is it the only software in your 2003 server hat uses FLEXlm licensing system?

Seems this licensing feature is not related to CodeWarrior license. Your license.dat file might include some licensing features for different product./vendor.

I'd suggest you to try to find "FEATURE vsvlx" string in the CodeWarrior license.dat file and comment it out using character "#".

Glad to hear the tools are working. I don't know what the message is about, but you should file a Service Request on that. Just in case something is festering and will knock the tools off-line at the worst possible moment....
