Hi,

We are designing a audio product using iMX6Q, we know iMX6Q has one S/PDIF interface for both input and output.
Is it possible to add AES/EBU input and output together with S/PDIF on iMX6Q as below? (S/PDIF and AES/EBU won't be used simultaneously)

Digital Inputs: 1 XLR (AES/EBU), 1 Coax (S/PDIF)
Digital Outputs: 1 XLR (AES/EBU, 1 Coax (S/PDIF)

Thanks,
Steven

Hello steven,

 See below, please!

--S/PDIF: there is SPDIF_IN interface on i.mx6Q, so the app is OK

--AES/EBU: there is no this port on i.MX6Q, for the application, customer needs a chip(such as CODEC) to convert AES/EBU to SPDIF / ESAI / I2S, then connect it to I.MX6Q.

Have a nice day!

Hi Wigros,

Thanks, we will try to find a converter chip for AES/EBU <-> S/PDIF.
