Hi, I am checking CAN Transceiver Failure Detection function when CAN signal is short circuit.
(use TJA1043t)
"AH1014_v1_4_Application_Hints_TJA1042_43_48_51.pdf" has following description:
6.6 Bus failure diagnosis
"Before the Bus Failure Flag becomes valid, the node must have transmitted at least four dominant bit sequences onto the bus each of at least 4us length."
Does this explanation mean that Bus Failure Flag is not detected unless send some CAN signals after CAN short occurs?
Or, does this explanation mean that Bus Failure Flag is not detected unless send some CAN signals after can transceiver power on?
Or, does this explanation mean that Bus Failure Flag is not detected unless send some CAN signals after transit to normal mode?
best regard.
Hi,
I think the description is clear. The Bus Failure Flag is not detected unless at least four dominant bit sequences each of at least 4us length is transmitted onto the bus.
Best regards,
Tomas
