I am fresh user to use iMX, do mfgtool is much simpliest to customize the build? should we create a new .vbs to add the new device?

MFG tool only works to load the Yocto image to your device in an easy way. To customize the build, you will need to modify or add new Yocto recipes. On the training that I posted before, it mentions how to modify a recipe.
