QSPI NOR Flash type setting in BOOT_CFG eFuse

pastedImage_1.png

What is "device supports 3B read by default" means? I cannot find on data sheet of flash memory ICs.

Say IS25WPxxx flash support "3B read, on fast read dual output "4B read" on unique ID number! What is it? N25Q32Axxx look like support both 3B (1-1-4 fast read command code) or 4B (4-4-4 fast read command code), which setting for it in BOOT_CFG2[2:0]?

Any help is appreciated!

Hello Jian,

For i.MXRT1050 + QSPI application,  we only use "3B read by default", don't care "4B read by default"!

3B read means :  1 Byte command +  3 Byte Address. I think you can find similar description your QSPI Nor Flash datasheet.

Have a nice day!
