it is possible to use the PCA9698 I/O port expansion to read push-buttons status without pre Schmidt trigger stage and RC filter?

we want to connect push-buttons directly to the I/O pins of the PCA9698 without RC filter and external schmidt trigger devices.

The internal LP filter of the Interrupt Management of the PCA9698 guarantees the properly working??
