I have a question about TAP reset of MPC866 (JTAG)

I have a question about TAP reset of MPC 866 (JTAG).
* JTAG is set to ENABLE in Hard Reset Configuration Word for MPC 866.

(1) Does the software reset (TCK 5 times while keeping TMS kept HIGH) work?

(2) Do you need some procedure to execute soft reset?

(3) Please tell me the reason why PORST and TRST are connected together.

1. No, this type of reset is not supported in MPC8xx family devices.

2. Please assert TRST input to do that.

3. TRST is typically connected to PORESET to assert TRST at power on simultaneously with PORESET.
