Hi team,

We are using the PMIC MC32PF3000A2EP in our wearable application along with the IMX7 dual-core processor (MCIMX7D3EVK10SD).   Based on the inputs that we have gathered from datasheets and reference designs, it shows that at an instant, PMIC can either operate in battery mode (2.9V to 4.5V) or USB mode (3.7 to 5.5). But we don't find any information on how to use both the modes together. Our application is a wearable gadget where we have both battery and USB input, where one of them will be active at a time.
Though the PMIC has two inputs VPWR (3.7 to 5.5) and VIN (2.9V to 4.5V), there are also instructions that ask us to ground VPWR when a higher input voltage is not used.

We need inputs/suggestions to design the circuit that can switch between USB power or battery power whenever one is available.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Vignesh
