I was wondering if when creating a bareboard project if CodeWarrior is using u-boot at any point? Or, is it just the config files in the CFG folder that are used?
What is your scope? To debug uboot using CW? Also, what CW you are using?
I replied to ufedor with some details about why I am asking.
U-Boot is not used when bare-board CW project is created.
Thank you for answering me. So the startup code for the T2080 in CodeWarrior for Power Architecture does initialize all the peripherals on the chip? Is there any difference between the bare board startup code and U-Boot for the T2080? I get that U-Boot is used mostly for starting up machines and then loading a linux kernel but for a bare metal application does it have any use? I understand if you can't answer fully since this a specific board question.

No. Bare-board initialization (ROM configuration) is performed for LAWs, MMU TLBs, SDRAM (DDR), local bus (IFC) and UART.
