Hi,

I use cowarrior for HCS12(x) V 4.7 with a Standard Floating License that I have bought. All work ok but I  have problem when I try to compile a project with more then 32 files. I cannot compile my project and when I try to compile appear the error that you can see in attach.

Why?

Thanks

Hello

Here you probably need someone from licensing team to look at what is going on.

I would recommend you to submit a service request for that.

Click here to submit a service request.

You will need to attach your client and server license file as well as the log file created on the FLEXlm server to allow us to investigate what is going on.

Also make sure to attached the installed Plug ins file to the SR.

I get a blank screen when I try to open the JPEG file you did attach.

Hi dss,

It seems that either your standard edition license.dat file is not checked out be CodeWarrior or the license.dat is corrupted. I'd guess the 1st option since it is more probable. I'd suggest you double check following:
1) Is the correct Standard floating license.dat file in CodeWarrior home directory? (usually "c:\Program Files\Freescale\CodeWarrior for HCS12 V4.7\license.dat" ) and also on server side (usually c:\FlexLM\license.dat)

2) Is your licensing server  (LMTOOLS.EXE) configured correctly? (see Attached doc)

3) In case your licensing server is located remotely you should consider whether firewall doesn't block the communication

Regards
Stanish

Hi,

I attach a screenshot of my version of codewarrior.
I use a standar edition.

The Standard floating license.dat file is in correct CodeWarrior home directory and also in the server and I suppose that the license work good because I able to compile a project with less of 32 file; moreover if I disconnet my Pc from my LAN, codewarrior doesn't start because it doesn't find the server and so the license then I suppose that the license work ok.

Thanks

Hello

Which edition of the software are you using?
Are you using a special edition? a basic edition? a standard edition? a professional edition?

As far as I remember, the 32 files per project limitation applies to special edition only.

Also which version of CodeWarrior are you using?
To retrieve that info:
- Start CodeWarrior
- Select Help -> About Freescale CodeWarrior
- Click on "Install Products"
- CodeWarrior version used is displayed on top in the Installed Products dialog.
