HDMI and On-board sound card audio routing issue

Hi All,

I am working on the Sbaresd based customized board -  Nougat porting.

In our board we are using sgtl5000 codec.

The sgtl5000 sound card is registered in the alsa hal of android.

Able to playback and Capture using tinyplay, tinycap tools respectively.

Able to capture sound using android application from sgtl5000 sound card.

But in the android side, by default all playback is routing to the HDMI monitor.

If i disconnect the HDMI connection also, audio is  not able to route to on-board sgtl500 sound card.

How to  make switch kind of audio routing in the android ?

Like : If i connect the HDMI , audio should route over HDMI

          Else it should route over the on-board sound card.

Hi Ravikiran

sgtl5000 is not used on nxp i.MX6 reference boards, however it is used

on BD Sabrelite board and one can look at its integration on boundary devices android

releases on

Android Nougat 7.1.1 release for i.MX6 boards - Boundary Devices
