I am not sure what do you mean as SMP mode of the P2020. But it is true the SMP option of Codewarrior Bareboard Project is available for selection only while creating projects for some e500mc, e5500, and e6500 core targets. P2020 has the e500 core The e500mc is designed to be implemented in multicore integrated devices, and many of the features are defined to support multicore implementations.
