TJA 1043/1051 data sheet:
1, The TJA1043 implements the CAN physical layer as defined in the current ISO11898
standard (ISO11898-2:2003, ISO11898-5:2007 and the pending updated version of ISO
11898-2:2016). Pending the release of ISO11898-2:2016 including CAN FD and
SAE-J2284-4/5, additional timing parameters defining loop delay symmetry are specified.
This implementation enables reliable communication in the CAN FD fast phase at data
rates up to 5 Mbit/s.
Do the TJA1043 don't meet the CAN FD of ISO11898-2 2016 before 2016, the meet after 2016?

Loop delay symmetry timing enables reliable communication at data rates up to

What is mean of 'Loop delay symmetry timing'?
Dear Shuang,
We announced in May 2016 the compliance of various HS CAN products, a.o. TJA1043 and TJA1051, to CAN FD (see the attached CIN 201605003I). At the time the ISO specification ISO 11898-2 was still in draft, like the SAE J2284.
Meanwhile these specs have indeed been finalized and we’re in the process of making announcements to customers that the parts are compliant with the final ISO and SAE specs. The notification for TJA1044/57 has been sent recently (see the attached CIN 201706001I). We will shortly send out similar announcements for TJA1043 and TJA1051 also.
In the attachment to last year’s notification the term loop-delay symmetry is also explained (see the attached HS-CAN datasheet update attachment to CIN 201605003I, table 1 page 5, left column 3rd item from the bottom).
Best regards,
Tomas
