Failsafe (FS0B) release not working

Hi,

I am using FS4500 SBC and it is interfaced with MPC5742P.  I use the drivers from NXP for SBC code.

After POR or wakeup event, I correctly release FS0B using the API provided after 7 watchdog cycles. And I also see that Fault Error is also 0. I see that the API is called without any errors. But I don't see the signal on pin FS0B is still low. I probed and checked.

Any idea what could be happening?

Thank You,

Sagar

Hi,

I am quite confused by this:

But I don't see the signal on pin FS0B is still low. I probed and checked.

Could you explain it once again?

Do you see it still low or you don't see it still low?

regards,

Peter

Hi Peter,

Its been more than 2 years now. I don't quite remember now.
What that statement meant was that I probed the FS0B pin on SBC and it was not released to high.

The solution for that was some hardware configuration in our case. There was some functionality called Emergency stop which was holding it low. Once that case taken care, the FS0B pin was correctly released to high.

Thank You,
Sagar
