Battery consumption by mma8652

Hello,

I am using mma8652 in normal mode with ODR 50hz, FIFO and tap interrupt are being used.What might be the battery consumption in this configuration?
Here I am observing more current consumption, how could I avoid this.
Any suggestion.

The Table 5 from the datasheet shows the expected current consumption in regard with the power mode and ODR selected.
