Linux boot problem and environment variables.

I inherit this M5445EVB from another engineer. He changed linux boot using a nfs root. I put the image on a nfs directory and try to boot from there, however failed. (I have boot message and printenv below)
I have couple of questions.
1)   How can I change it back to boot using on board image? How do u-boot environment variables work?
2)   where it gone wrong? Possible fix?
