Crash with CW 6.2.1 when compiling for 51AC256

I just got a DEMOAC board and downloaded the latest CW SE 6.2 plus the MCU 6.2.1 compiler patch.
I started a little test application running an LCD. However, when trying to make the project, the compiler crashes at a point where an int has to be converted to an unsigned char (I tried quite some tricks with passing the value through dummy variables etc).

The messagebox says:
"MW C/C++ E68K encountered an unhandled exception 0xc0000005 at address 0x06724986
(The memory at address 0x00000028 could not be written)

Location: MCFCCompilter.dll:0x10104986

Crash dump writen to C:\...."

Is there anyone I can send this crashdump or even the (small) project to, to get this issue sorted out?

Edit: CW 6.1 from the devkit DVD does not crash
