NFC - Not allowed numbers in Tag ID

Hi everyone, I have a doubt about tag id numbers.

I found in some documentation that the hexadecimals 81h to FEh should never be used in the "manufacturer identification" - first byte of tag id. For NXP, it will be 04h.

We are reading NXP NTAG213 and sending information through serial RS232, using separators like pipe. Altought it worked fine so far, we are affraid at some point the hexadecimal representation of this char (7Ch in case of pipe) will appear middle of Tag Id, causing an error.

So, the question is: Is there any hexadecimal that would never appear in a Tag Id?

Thanks!!!

Hi Fernando,

Would you please specify which documentation mentions this information?

Thanks for your patience!

Have a great day,
Kan
