Floating license not recognized - client using trial

I believe I've installed the floating license on a server correctly, but I'm a little confused about why the client isn't finding all features.

Licensing Server Setup:

I have a server with LMTOOLS already installed for other products. I generated a license.dat file and stored it on the LM server. A server status enquiry in lmtools shows:

[Detecting lmgrd processes...]
License server status: 1710@atca01dc02
    License file(s) on atca01dc02: C:\CodeWarrior\License\license.dat:

atca01dc02: license server UP (MASTER) v10.0

Vendor daemon status (on atca01dc02):

  metrowks: UP v11.5

Feature usage info:

Users of CMSISDAP:  (Total of 1 license issued;  Total of 0 licenses in use)

Users of FSLTAP:  (Total of 1 license issued;  Total of 0 licenses in use)

Users of ARMv8DBG:  (Total of 1 license issued;  Total of 0 licenses in use)

Users of PE_SCENARIOS:  (Total of 1 license issued;  Total of 0 licenses in use)

Users of REMOTEDEBUG:  (Total of 1 license issued;  Total of 0 licenses in use)

Client Setup:

I added a system environment variable for METROWKS_LICENSE_FILE for 1710@atca01dc02 but Codewarrior > Help > NXP Licenses shows a trial expiring in 12 days.

There is a license.dat file in C:\Freescale\CW4NET_v2017.03\Common with a bunch of INCREMENT feature entries, but which doesn't point to the server. If I delete/rename this file I get a "Some product licenses had errors" pop-up, and NXP Licenses shows "No license found, error with key..."

I tried using the server license.dat in that folder, and now it says the license expires in 362 days for CodeWarrior Debugger, but all other features (Trace Commander, HierachicalProfiler, Traceviewer, etc) show "Unknown error with key GPTRACE11.0, LM_NOSERVSUPP"

How do I get the client to recognize all features included in the license?

Hi ,

Missing feature of your license seems to be the problem. If you own a DLA-LS-DVLPR-FL  you would be missing the GPTrace feature since this is on other License level called specialist

CodeWarrior Development Suite for Networked Applications|NXP

Specialist level give you additional Tool pack which includes

Please check the following Eval license attached for specialist level, try to use this on the local directory and check again. If you still have problems I recommend to create a case in the nxp.com/support site
