Hello Community,

We are using the MPC5744P for our current project and winIDEA from iSYSTEM as IDE for development. The integrated SFR window is used for observing register contents, but the version of XML file of SFR is not up to date(RM-REV2) and we got confirmed that we could not get the latest version from iSYSTEM. I would like to ask if it is possible that the latest XML file will be provided.

Thank you very much.

Hi,

Which version of winIDEA are you using ?

This kind kind of issues may be solved by updated the tool ...

Hello,

Actually we are not working with iSystem tools.

I do not understand why iSystem doesn't not provided you the latest version of their debug interface.

We are working with lauterbach and PEMicro.

I am not sure whether any community user will share it with you.

And there is already out RM (reference manual) rev 6.

Thank you very much for the reply.

I've got information that I could manually modify the SFR database if it is required, but this is a very unpractical option. I don't really understand how it is managed between NXP and the debugger providers. I thought, if there is any contract between them, the debugger provider should always have the database up to date.

Hello,

Usually we provide reference manuals are they create their peripheral view for their interface.

For debuggers that we are working with, we report any possible issues to debugger vendors.

As we are not preferring iSystem I do not even know who to contact :smileysad:

But it is fully in their responsibility to keep debugger interface up to date.

If they won't do, then i expect customers will go somewhere else...
