Connecting 32-bit supported devices on T1022 local bus

Hi,

We have a requirement to connect a 32 bit data bus supported device on T1022 local bus.   Since the Processor (T1022) supports 16 bit data bus , can we connect this device (32bit data bus) on Processor eLBC. If yes, what changes need to be incorporated to make it work.

Regards

Ram

Sorry, which "Processor eLBC" is in question?

T1022 has only IFC controller supporting 16-bit data bus.

Yes, it is IFC controller. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Can it be used to connect 32 bit data bus supported device ?

There is no direct way to connect 32-bit-wide device to the IFC.

I assume that it is possible to use a CPLD/FPGA, so IFC in GASIC mode will be able to communicate with the 32-bt-wide device.

Hi,

Thanks for the update.

Do we need to incorporate any changes in software/BSP to support the 32-bit wide device ?

Will there be any performance degradation for the 32-bit wide device ?
