Life of i.MX6 (Industrial) depending on CPU Utilization

We are using i.MX6 Dual core chipset (Industrial) in our product. We set frequency scaling governor to performance mode so that CPU is always clocked at 996 MHz. Also our thermal design is such that die temperature never crosses 80 Degree Celsius. Average CPU  loading is ~50% and peak CPU loading breaches > 95% for a maximum duration of 3 secs and returns to normal utilization levels.

I am wondering whether there is any relationship between life (power-on-hours) of the chip and CPU utilization. I have gone though http://www.nxp.com/assets/documents/data/en/application-notes/AN4724.pdf  but it doesn't suggest anything like that.  Any comments/clarification in this regard is most welcome.

Hello,

You wrote, that CPU is always clocked at 996 MHz, but CPU utilization may be different.

If CPU frequency is not changed, this means CPU power consumption (at least theoretically )

is not changed too, providing the same life time for different CPU loading.

Regards,

Yuri.
