What if USB interface is not populated over Target board

Hi ,

What I understood from the IMX6 reference manuals , In the bootstrap mode host and ROM communicates over serial download protocol over USB interface for flashing Uboot , kernel etc on boot device . What if the USB interface is not

populated over the target board. Then is there any way to flash the uboot , kerenel etc on boot device.

Please suggest.

Hello Aditya,

if you are not using the USB then you can use the UART to download the code, but it is extremely slow a comparison with the USB port.

Hi ,

How to use the UART instead of USB in Serial Download booting mode for firmware flashing . Is it possible to use UART in Serial download mode for firmware flashing ?
