Hi,

We are using LS1043A, Kindly request you to confirm does this processor supports 10GBASE-KR?

Thanks.

Have a great day,

I see in the LS1043A manual that the SerDes module support:

"XFI/10GBASE-R @ 10.3125 Gbaud

  • IEEE 802.3-2008
  • IEEE 802.3ae-2007
  • IEEE 802.3ap-2007
  • IEEE 802.3aq-2007
  • IEEE 802.3an-2006"

IEEE Std 802.3ap-2007 Backplane Ethernet defines 3 PHY types „

1000BASE-KX : 1-lane 1 Gb/s PHY (Clause 70) „

10GBASE-KX4: 4-lane 10Gb/s PHY (Clause 71) „

 10GBASE-KR : 1-lane 10Gb/s PHY (Clause 72) „

So support for XFI/10GBASE-R + IEEE 802.3ap-2007 means support for 10BASE-KR.

There is the LS1043A based mezzanine module XPedite6401 which claims support for the 10BASE-KR directly from the LS1043A. You can find its Block Diagram on the internet.

Thanks for your reply.

1. There is no electrical specification for 10GBase-KR in Manual or Datasheet. Can you please share with us?

2. Also Kindly let us know in LS1043A how to implement 10GBASE-KR using software or through any setting?

Thanks

I suggest you get IEEE 802.3ap-2007 documentation. It specifies 10GBASE-KR features related to the backplane Ethernet. Then create technical case to the nxp support for confirmation of the 10GBASE-KR features you need. Please see See How I could create a Service Request?
