In LS1043A, SPD EEROM needed for DDR4?

Hi,

In LS1043A, we are useing DDR4. Do we need to use SPD EEPROM as it is used in Reference schematics of LS1043A. Is it mandatory requirement? Also request you to confirm what kind of information are stored in it.

SPD EERROM is not mandatory. Such an EEPROM is mounted on the LS1043ARDB, however in fact it is empty, so is not really used.
