Hi,
We have a customer asking whether does the QN9021 chip need calibration for trimming crystal.
We obtained the QN9000 Calibration manual (as per attached) and in the manual stated, the 3rd party software tool (XCSEL) is needed to purchase for the calibration of trimming crystal.
We would like to double confirm with NXP, whether is this calibration necessary before our customer goes ahead and purchase the 3rd party tool.
Hi Bernie,
Does the customer know the QBlue NVDS Configuration?
This tool is free, and is available following the next link.
a highly extensible platform for application development of QN9020|NXP
Please let me know for any other questions.
Best Regards,
Mario
Hi Mario,
Base on below issue, can we know what is the accepted drift for the QN chip’s crystal? And will a drift of 60-80kHz affect the performance? (This is base on my customer’s design)
For the QBlue software mentioned, do you have the application notes or guideline? As my customer used QBlue but there seems to be a drift.
Hi Bernie,
According, QN902x supports 16 MHz and 32 MHz external crystal with accuracy.
So, if you are having aprox 60-80kHz you should not have any problem.
Please follow the next path and loop up the QBlue NVDS Configurator Manual v1.0
Hope it helps.
Best Regards,
Mario
