JTAG TRST_b pin and Ethernet on MK60DN256VLL10

Hello,

I want to use the ethernet and the JTAG on MK60DN256VLL10. I'm using a Segger J-Link and Kinetis Design Studio to program the device. So pin 39 has an option for the ethernet interface as RX_ER and for the JTAG interface (TRST_b), both are optional.
Does kinetis (or Segger J-Link) need the JTAG TRST Pin?

Best Regards
Erik

Hi Erik Kliemt

JTAG TRST pin is not needed to program your device, this pin is output from J-Link to the Reset signal of the target JTAG port. Typically connected to nTRST of the target CPU. This pin is normally pulled HIGH on the target to avoid unin- tentional resets when there is no connection. The pin that Jtag does need is nRESET, this pin is needed to reset the MCU and halt it when it's going to be programed.
