LS1012A Performance (via Freedom board)

I'm interested in the LS1012A and the Freedom board that uses it.

  1. Are there any benchmarks for this SoC?
  2. Any chance of a dual-core design in the future?
  3. Is it powerful enough to run a LAMP system for SOHO?
  4. Can encryption be offloaded to the hardware (SSL, AES, etc.)?

Thank you!

1. Yes, please request benchmarking data from our Sales/Marketing team via your authorized distributor.

2. No, we do not have plans to release this device in dual-core design.

3. LAMP is generally too heavy to run on embedded systems, usually lighter webservers and databases are used.

However, I'm quite sure theoretically this is possible, but webpage rendering time will be a question. Sorry, we do not have this experience here, in online technical support team, so I can not say for sure.

4. Yes, "Security Engine" hardware accelerator is present on SoC.

Have a great day,
Alexander

Hi Ken

You mention LS1021 but are you rather referring to LS1012 (i.e. FRDM-LS1012A) ?

Hi! Thanks for catching the typo! It's been corrected. :smileyhappy: I am referring to the FRDM-LS1012A-PA.
