I am new to Codewarrior . Due to their demise I need to migrate a number of designs from LPC9XX devices to, in one case, a S08P4 (20-pin). I need to to drive a 7-segment LED directly from a S08P MCU, but the ports are not wide enough. Is there a way of "creating" a 7-bit wide port? Before anyone suggests it, I cannot use a larger device or peripheral hardware.

Hi

I am not sure that I got properly your question.

You need a 7 bit (7 pins) port on the soic 20 S08PA device? if this is the case you have available the complete port B

the port B is on pins 5, 6 ,7 8 and 13 to 20.
