Hello, I generate my new first license(node-locked, with FLXEID) according to following website specification. So I save the license file(.bat) and copy it to directoty(C:\Freescale\CW MCU v10.6\MCU). It shows some error info as below when I open codewarrior and click "debug" button. Could you please help give some comments? Thank you.

Following is my setup environment. Attachment is error info and license.bat generated with USB Dongle FLXEID. Code Warrior 10.6 / MCF52259/MQX4.0

Hi

I suspect your BASIC Edition license does not include Kernel Aware Debugging MQX for ColdFire v2.

Please check the Quick Reference Guide below (search for "MQX: ColdFire")

This feature is supported in Professional Edition only.

Hi Stan,

Thanks for your reply. There is one question how to know whether the  licence which is generated by usb dongle is BASIC Edition license or not? Could you please help to give some comments? Thanks.

By the way, it works fine with temporary license from NXP technical support.

Jackie,

First the license (license.dat) is not generated by USB Dongle License but it is generated on NXP licensing web and it could be locked to a hardware key - USB dongle FlexID. The unique locking number FlexID is printed on dongle body.

The license includes strings that identifies which version it is:

e.g. the license you attached contains lines below. It's clear that it is BASIC Edition and it's locked to USB Dongle with FlexID: 9-5e161548 (this must match with the FlexID on your dongle)

INCREMENT BasicEditionMCU metrowks 10.5 permanent uncounted \

                44FF0162E6A2 VENDOR_STRING="CodeWarrior for MCU Basic Edition \

                (Windows - Eclipse)" HOSTID=FLEXID=9-5e161548 \

                ISSUER="Freescale Semiconductor" ISSUED=15-jan-2017 ck=105 \

                SN="FSL - 18591747" TS_OK

It works fine with the temporary/evaluation license because this license is basically time limited Professional Edition.

Hope it makes more sense now.

Stan

You can upgrade your basic suite to professional by getting a BASIC 2 PRO  ID.

If you own a perpetual basic suite, you can use CWP-BAS2PRO-NL , or if you own an annual suite you can use CWA-BAS2PRO-NL

Look for your license expiration reminder notice in your registered email, from nxpupdt1@contact.nxp.com
