i.MX6 VPU: MVINFO

Hi all,

Does IMX6 VPU support ENC_SET_REPORT_MVINFO command ? The imx-test source code have the mvinfo, mbinfo and sliceinfo options (but disabled). In the i.MX_6_VPU_Application_Programming_Interface_Linux_Reference_Manual, page 58 says,

ENC_SET_REPORT_MBINFO                                     Not used in i.MX 6.

ENC_SET_REPORT_MVINFO                                     Not used in i.MX 6.

Does it means its not supported in imx6? my thought was to take the motion vector information for motion detection. Any other ways to get the motion vector.

Yes, the ENC_SET_REPORT_MVINFO command is supported in the i.MX6 VPU API. Seems that you use too old version of the BSP/API. Please refer to the attached manual, this is for the latest L4.1.15 BSP.

The L4.1.15 version document  still shows MV info as not supported.
