Hi All,

I have a proprietary data connection to/from a data acquisition system that produces a NRZ encoded serial data stream of max 30Mbit/s. The connection shall be bi-directional.

What interface can be best used to receive this data in the iMX6? Would SPI be an option? Or are there better options?

Thank you in advance for your suggestions!

Hi Frank,

You could take a look at the application note AN3020 “Configuring and Using the SPI”:

http://www.nxp.com/assets/documents/data/en/application-notes/AN3020.pdf

Regarding the specific information of the i.MX6 processor, you could refer to Table 51 “ECSPI Master Mode Timing Parameters” of i.MX 6Dual/6Quad Datasheet:

http://www.nxp.com/assets/documents/data/en/data-sheets/IMX6DQCEC.pdf

Hope this will be useful for you.
Best regards!
/Carlos
