Hi,

We are designing a PCB with IMX6UL processor and PF3001. Based on the reference design from NXP, for the same.

Can you please clarify the below questions, based on the reference design available from NXP(Sch No: SCH-29090).

Q1. What is the purpose of the "RT9169-33GVL", 3.3V LDO(U701), for SNVS domain in the design.

Q2. If we are not using UM805RE(U708) in the design, can we use  only the "VSNVS"  of PF3001 for powering SNVS domains of the design, instead of the LDO.

Thanks,

Uma.

Hi Uma

- seems RT9169 was reserved for debugging purposes as tamper pins are also powered from

SNVS domain, note R759 is "DNP".

- yes one can use  only the "VSNVS"  of PF3001 for powering SNVS domains, however seems this does not relate to  UM805 usage .

Best regards
igor
