I was troubleshooting the NVT2006PW level shifter on my circuit board and realized I left out the 200k pull-up resistor on the  B-Side.  Note:  A-Side is 3V3 and B-side is 5VDC.  I observed, without the 200k pull-up, the 3V3 side was about 4.3V to 4.7VDC on the A-Side.  Although it's fixed, I'm trying to understand why I would see the 4.3 to 4.7VDC on the 3V3 (A-Side).

Can someone offer some details on this?

Thanks,

Brian

Hi Brian,

The 200k pull-up resistor is used by enable and the disable times which are essentially controlled by the RC time constant of the capacitor and the 200 kW resistor on the EN pin. NO other function is related to this 200k resistor.

Have a great day,
Jose
