I would like to know what would be the consequences of feeding in 12V straight into this pressure sensor. The datasheet states a typical value of 10V, but a max of 16V. I don't want to regulate 10V in my system exclusively for this sensor, so will it work properly under 12V?

Hi Leonardo,

Yes, it will without any problems. The MPXM2102AS is ratiometric so its sensitivity varies proportionally to the supply voltage. When powered by 12V, the sensitivity will be 0.4mV/kPa * 12V / 10V = 0.48mV/kPa.

Best regards,

Tomas
