What is the KDS interface between a PC and a KV10 NOT on a FRDM-KV10Z board

So I've been experimenting with KDS using a FRDM-KV10Z board.

But when we build own own breadboard, we will not have the same interface to a PC available.  I would like to know how we should expect to debug software on a KV10 based breadboard.  A related question is: how we should expect to load a program into flash memory?

Hi, Michael,

If  you design your own PCB board, of course, you do not need the K20 OpenSDA  processor as FRDM-KV10Z-SCH.pdf, you just need to design the 10 pins J9 male connector on your PCB as FRDM-KV10Z-SCH.pdf. Furthermore, you need order Multilink Universal device from http://www.pemicro.com so that you can use it to communicate with PC with Multilink Universal device connected with J9 on yourt PCB.You can also use JLink device.

Hope it can help you

Hi Michael,

You will need an external debugger to interface to the KV10Z JTAG/SWD interface.

Have a look at following blog (and register on it as lots of good topics to learn from):
