Dear team,

I would like to ask about Power calculator spread sheet of i.MX28.

My customer is trying to calculate using with your iMX28_Power_Calculator_REVA_2010_10_01.xls, and they are facing the issue that some output currents seem to be higher.

Please look at the attached file for their calculation.

And I wrote the question in the excel with red text.

Please give your answers to the red texts.

(1)

Any of the results are higher than the values of above.

We thinks those are allowable. Correct?

If so, please show me what the maximum limitations are.

(2)

Is it correct that this value should not be higher than the value which is calculated from VDD4P2 current limit?

Thanks,

Miyamoto

Hello,

Your understanding is correct : both answers are - yes.

Power consumption values in the Excel table are the maximum ones,
based an I.MX23 applications, where the same PMU is used.

Have a great day,
Yuri

Hi Yuri,

Thanks for your prompt reply.

As for (1), do you have a guideline about what maximum value for the result is allowable?

Miyamoto

Power consumption values in the Excel table are the maximum ones.

Power Consumption Calculator provides the worst-case power usage

 - Dynamic CPU/HBUS clock gating disabled

 - CPU/HBUS activity at 100%

Regards,

Yuri.
