I am very confused about the programmers compatible with MPC8358E.
The site gives link to programmers (for ex: pemicro cyclone) that do not support this processor based on the details on the
webpages and datasheets.
This is serious misinforming.
Please help me, which one i should choose? I need for production enviroment.
I have an older Codewarrior USB TAP but that is broken, and it was barely used, so i would not buy again ever.
Even the current USB TAP does not list this device as compatible.
Something like the Cyclone would be great, but it looks like it's not compatible with MPC8358E.
I will program thru jtag some flashes connected to this processor, of course, not the processor itself.
Please help.
Thanks.
Old "USB TAP" is no longer available for ordering, please use "CodeWarrior TAP" (previously known as "Ethernet Tap").
Please do not forget to order JTAG/COP probe tip for this TAP.
Power Architecture processor for CodeWarrior|NXP
Sorry, we do not offer a solution for factory production programming, we offer only CodeWarrior (for development)
Hi Danilics
We use here BDI3000 from Abatron. The product is EOL'ed but it seems
there is still some available in stock. The manual lists 8358 as one of the
supported cpu types.
Hope this helps.

Sorry, i just verified again and CW TAP looks like it is compatible.
What software is compatible and which is needed to run?
PEmicro confirmed that none of their devices supports MPC8358E.
Is there any other alternative for production?
Not for development.
Thanks!
