WHERE IS THE DRIVER OF TJA1100 AND DESIGN REFERENCE OF EVALUATION BOARD

Question asked by Bright Wang on Sep 22, 2016

AS TITLE I'VE BEEN TURNING NXP'S WEBSITE UPSIDE DOWN BUT FINDING NO READY-FOR-USE RESULTS NOR SCHEMATICS OF EVALUATION BOARD FOR DESIGN REFERENCE.

THE TJA1100 SEEMS NOT REALLY READY FOR CUSTOMERS TO DESIGN THEIR OWN PROJECTS ACCORDING TO ONLY FEW RELATIVE DOCUMENTS IN PRODUCT PAGE.

EVEN SABRE EVALUATION BOARD REMAINS THE SAME DESIGN USING BROADCOM'S BROADR-REACH FOR DAUGHTER BOARD. AND HERE SEEMS NOT WAY TO BUY THE EVALUATION BOARD OF DOCUMENT TR1329?

BEFORE THIS TWISTED PAIR ETHERNET PHYSICAL INTERFACE I WAS TRYING SO HARD TO BROADCOM'S BCM89810. BROADCOM IS WELL-KNOWN FOR THEIR UNFRIENDLINESS. SO I WAS EXPECTING NXP'S BROADR-REACH PHY TO REPLACE BROADCOM'S IN MY AUTOMOTIVE HEAD UNIT PROJECT.

MY QUESTIONS ARE HERE

EVALUATION BOARD / KIT / DESIGN REFERENCE

1. IS SOMEWHERE A BILL OF MATERIALS AND REFERENCE SCHEMATICS OF THE CUSTOM EVALUATION BOARD?

REQUIRED SOFTWARE COMPONENTS AND DRIVERS

2. DOES ANY UPDATED BSP OF I.MX PROCESSOR CONTAIN TJA1100 DRIVER?

USEFUL SHARINGS

3. DOES ANYONE HAS ANY PRACTICED CASE OF IMPLEMENTING TJA1100 IN THEIR I.MX6  / POWER PC BASE DESIGN OR IN RTOS (MQX / FREERTOS) ENVIRONMENT?

COMPARISON OF INTERFACE CHARACTERISTICS

4. ANY DIFFERENCE FROM BROADR-REACH PHY AND GENERAL 10/100/1000 TRANSCEIVER USING RMII / MII INTERFACE? IT IS TO DO WITH POSSIBILITY TO MODIFY THE DRIVER OF LINUX KERNEL  / WRITE OURSELVES.

DIFFERENCES BETWEEN NXP TJA1100 AND BROADCOM BCM89810

5. WHAT'S ABOUT THE REGISTRY ASSIGNMENT OF TJA1100? IS IT SAME WITH BROADCOM'S BROADR REACH BCM89810?

UTILITY

6. WHERE'S MAC ADDRESS UTILITY?

DOCUMENT

7. ANY RECOMMENDED APPLICATION NOTE FOR CLOCKING / TIMING COMPONENTS DESIGN?

AVB STACK / SAMPLE CODES

8. WHERE IS THE AVB STACK ACTUALLY? IS IT PAID COMPONENTS WITH ROYALTY LICENSE? WHERE CAN WE GET / BUY FROM?
