Bluetooth is not availabe in Marshmallow 6.0.1.2.0.0 for SoloLite Board

Hi All,

   We got the marshmallow version 6.0.1.2.0.0 image for SoloLite Board. We were able to see Wifi and Hostapd under Wireless & Network Settings. But There is no Bluetooth related Settings.

Which version of marshmallow is having Wifi, Bluetooth, and Hotspot.If we are using wrong version of marshmallow ,please update us.

And aslo we are not able to see any bluetooth related code compilation while compiling Source code.

Hello Vinoth Penati,

Unfortunately Buetooth Connectivity is nor supported for the i.MX6SL EVK on the Marshmallow Android Release. You may find more details on what features are supported on the Android Release Notes which are included with the Android BSP.

Hi Gusarambula,

            As you said that Marshmallow Bluetooth is not supported in Evk-6sl Board. Then How Bluetooth related files and libraries are available in source code ?

            We were able to see system/bt/ folder in Android Source code for Marshmallow 6.0 release. Using that Files we implemented bluetooth and we were able to see Bluetooth process in Android GUI.

            Please reply as soon as possible,we have to release this to our customer.

Hello Vinoth,

The libraries are available on the BSP as other boards do support this feature so you will find them present even if Bluetooth is not supported for the i.MX6SL.

You would need to make the necessary changes to add Bluetooth to the i.MX6SL. There are a couple of documents that may be of help, however, these are focused on the Jelly Bean BSP.
