Dear all,

Would you tell me about precision for VDD_xxx_CAP of i.MX6Solo?

- VDD_ARM_CAP
- VDD_SOC_CAP
- VDD_PU_CAP

The value of each VDD_xxx_CAP is as follows.
- VDD_ARM_CAP;1.225~1.400
- VDD_SOC_CAP;1.15V~1.125V
- VDD_PU_CAP;1.15V~1.125V

I understand that these values are values to be set in each Set points.(not measured voltage value)

Is my understanding correct?

In 996MHz operation,
When the Set Point of VDD_ARM_CAP is set to 1.225V, the measured voltage is 1.246V.

Is this correct operation?

How much is a precision(margin of error) for each VDD_xxx_CAP set points?

May I have advice?

Best Regards,
Yuuki

The typical accuracy of the VDD_xxx_CAP LDO set points is +/- 25mV.

Have a great day,
Artur

Dear Artur-san,

Thank you for your support.

We use ARM frequency at 996MHz.
We set VDD_xxx_CAP LDO set points as follows then.

However, the actual measured value comes to have a bigger around +30mV than a set point value.

     CAP                set point value   actual value
VDDSOC_CAP:        1.20V          =>  1.230V
VDDPU_CAP :          1.20V          =>  1.230V
VDDARM_CAP:        1.25V          =>  1.280V

These exceed +-25mV accuracy.

Is the explanation of the data sheet a set value?
or
Does it mean actual value?

If it means an actual value, these violate a data sheet.

We want to check whether this operation does not have a problem.
As we are before a mass production, we want to confirm it as soon as possible.

Yuuki

At relatively relaxed loads, the actual voltage values can slightly exceed this +25mV tolerance. This does not affect the system operation.
