Yes, I would recommend you to take a closer look at our AN4074 which explains how to use the Auto-Wake/Sleep feature including example register settings and code.

Attached you can also find my example code written for the FRDM-KL25Z board. The transient function is used to wake up the MMA8451Q and the time-out period is set to 5s.
