Hi community,

I have a question about i.MX6QP BSP.

Please see around line 1000 of the u-boot source code <u-boot>/board/freescale/mx6sabresd/mx6sabresd.c in L4.1.15_1.0.0-ga.

It seems that VGEN3 and VGEN5 of MMPF0100 are changed its voltage regardless whether the chips is i.MX6QP or not.

However, as per the schematics of i.MX6QP SABRE, I feel these voltage changing are not needed.

Why these voltage changing are executed not only for i.MX6DQ SABRE but also for i.MX6QP SABRE also?

Best Regards,

Satoshi Shimoda

Hi Satoshi

you are right, on MCIMX6QP-SDB schematic SPF-28857 VGEN3 is not used

while VGEN5 is alternate power for camera, so its voltage changes can be commented out.

However these voltage changes are safe and adding checking for i.MX6QP case may increase

code size, so seems they were left also for  i.MX6QP.

Best regards

igor
